Lois Ellen Myers, age 82, of Adrian, died early Friday morning, January 9, 2026, at the Kresge Rehabilitation Center in Chelsea. Born in Detroit on September 22, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Adelyn (Walton) Ferguson.
Lois was a graduate of Adrian High School. She married Jerome Joseph “Jerry” Myers on October 14, 1961, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Adrian. Together they raised a son and daughter and celebrated over 64 years together before his passing on August 14, 2025.
Lois worked for many years at Jacob’s Plastics and later at Bethany Kids Learning Center on the campus of Bethany Assembly of God in Adrian prior to her retirement in 2014.
Catholic by faith, Lois was a faithful parishioner of Holy Family Parish in Adrian. She enjoyed dancing, golfing, reading, crafts, and trying her luck at area casinos. In recent years also enjoyed playing dominos with her daughter and she cherished every opportunity of time spent with family, her greatest joy. She was a devoted wife and a caring mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family.
Surviving is her son, Keith (Cheryl) Myers of Orland Park, IL; daughter, Katherine (David) DeLaCruz of Adrian; four grandchildren, Nikki (Greg) Orlando, Austin (Kori) DeLaCruz, Ashley (Kevin) Long, and Chelsea (Hunter) Logan; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Eugene Frederick, Bobby Frederick, Richard Ferguson, Barbara Sullivan, Geraldine French, and Marilynn Gillis.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from noon until a memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
