ADRIAN — The Adrian City Commission has approved the creation of an industrial development district at 800 Liberty Street.
Commissioners unanimously adopted a resolution establishing the district as part of efforts to support redevelopment at the Liberty Street site.
The action formally designates the property for industrial development incentives, a step city officials say can help encourage private investment and future redevelopment activity.
No public comments were made during the required public hearing prior to the vote.
The resolution was approved without discussion and takes effect immediately.
City officials have not yet released details on a specific redevelopment proposal, but additional updates on future plans for the site are expected as development discussions move forward.
