Larry Norman Reaume, age 69, of Onsted, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Hospice of Lenawee Home following a short illness.
Larry was born on June 7, 1956, in Detroit, MI. His parents, Norman and Lillian (Adams) Reaume were pleasantly surprised when Larry was born as he completed their family with his five older sisters waiting at home, ready to meet him. He graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn, with the Class of 1974
On October 12, 1985, Larry married Belinda Stone and for the next 40 years they made a great team. Larry was a man of many talents, whether it was a plumbing or electrical project, he wasn’t afraid to tackle the job. His dependable assistant, Belinda, was right beside him, always willing to help. Larry was a skilled carpenter and owned Chestnut Hill Cabinetry for many years. He was precise and detailed oriented on all the projects he worked on; this included the family home Larry built. He made sure Belinda had the kitchen of her dreams and showcased his craftsmanship. Larry went out to California and trained on how to create beveled glass items and was equally talented with stained glass.
Larry enjoyed being outdoors and going with Belinda up north in their travel trailer, creating many fond memories with their friends on these trips. A loyal Michigan sports fan, Larry cheered on his favorite teams- U of M, the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings and Lions.
In addition to his wife, Belinda, Larry is survived by his sisters, Barbara Murray, Judy (Don) McKenzie, Janet (Gordon) Payne, Susan (Don) Perry and Elaine (Don) Yuvan; brothers from other mothers, John Robinson, Howard “Huck” Harrington, Paul Scaramucci, Cliff Curtis, and David “Daba” Parker; many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends; and a special adopted niece, Shelby Warner and his loyal canine companion, Hazel, who always brighten his mood. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law, Richard King and Robert “Bob” Murray.
Following Larry’s wishes, cremation will take place with a memorial service to be held later. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lenawee Humane Society or to Island Safe Harbor in Port Clinton, OH.
