ADRIAN — A clerical error in the Lenawee County Circuit Court schedule had Dale Warner making an unexpected court appearance this morning in his ongoing open murder trial, when in fact no such appearance had been scheduled.
This sudden change fueled online speculation and at least one news report that Warner, who is charged with murder and evidence tampering in the death of his wife Dee Warner, would be making a plea change.
Dee Warner’s brother, Greg Hardy, explains how they found out about the supposed new hearing…
However, when Dee’s family showed up to the Rex B. Martin Judicial Building shortly before 8:00 am, they were told by court officials that there was no hearing in the case planned for the day.

As of today, Dale Warner’s trial is still expected to begin January 27th, following a hearing on January 14th and an extensive jury selection.
