Harold Robert Rhora – Tecumseh

Harold Robert Rhora, 88, beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on New Year’s Day 2026. He was married to his wife Julie Anne Rhora for 62 years, who preceded him in death in 2020.

Following a brief illness, Harold passed away peacefully with his children by his side.

He is survived by his sons Brad Rhora of Saginaw, MI and Kent Rhora (Beth) of Alvaton, KY, daughter Rhonda Nowak (Joe) of Tecumseh, MI, grandchildren, Sarah Nowak, Andrew Nowak (Brenna) and great granddaughter Alice Nowak.

Harold was a long-time resident of Tecumseh, MI. He was a graduate of Britton High School, class of ’57 and earned his accounting degree from Cleary College in Ypsilanti, MI. He worked for the James River Paper Company for 29 years and after leaving the paper company he worked alongside his wife and family at Great Ideas, a long-established family business in Tecumseh. He served as a Macon Township trustee and then, after moving to Tecumseh was an appointed member of the Tecumseh Planning Commission.

Harold was a man of few words, but was known to be a hard-working, loyal, and trustworthy family man which garnered the admiration of his peers and family alike.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes from 3pm-5pm.
