Steven Frank Coscarelli, age 70, died Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025, while under the compassionate care of Hospice of Lenawee. Born November 30, 1955, at Herrick Hospital in Tecumseh, he was born a twin to the late Lawrence and Rushia (Sparks) Coscarelli.
Following his graduation from Tecumseh High School in 1973, Steve selflessly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his country for 12 years. A natural leader, he rose through the ranks right after graduating MCRD Boot Camp in San Diego, CA distinguished as Private First Class. He then worked in administration and earned rank as Sergeant before ultimately becoming a Drill Instructor. Later stationed at the Marine Corps Headquarters in Arlington, VA, he worked at the Pentagon and notably served as a chauffeur during the Presidential Inaugural Parade of Ronald Reagan in 1984, personally escorting Ed McMahon. Prior to his honorable discharge, he worked several years as a recruiter for the Marines.
Steve was raised Catholic and received his Sacraments as a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Parish in Tecumseh, and his faith in Christ remained steadfast throughout his life. An advocate of his own personal health and fitness, he also served as a personal trainer for many years. For several years he was a successful Harley-Davidson motorcycle salesman at Town and Country Sports Center in Cement City. He loved to ride his motorcycle, was an avid pool player, and his greatest pleasure was being in the company of his family and friends. An accident in 1997 left Steve with a Traumatic Brain Injury and he became medically disabled the remainder of his life. However, his free spirit, outgoing personality, revered sense of humor, and incredible love of books never faded.
Surviving are his three sisters, Linda Coscarelli of Adrian, gina Coscarelli (Terry Trott) of Tecumseh, and his twin sister, Patti Coscarelli-Baugh of Adrian; his brother, Richie (Vicki) Coscarelli of Tecumseh; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Marry Funeral Home in Tecumseh on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and concluding with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Father Michael Newman, OSFS, will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Steve’s honor are suggested to benefit Hospice of Lenawee. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
