Oscar Timothy Butler, 74, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025. He was born July 31, 1951, in Adrian, the son of the late Oscar and Edith (Lehr) Butler.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean; his children, Jennifer and Holly; sisters, Nondice and Geraldine; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Aaron; daughter, Kristin; sister, Vivian; and grandson, Joshua.
Oscar was a kind, hardworking, and deeply honest man. He was a true family man who showed his love through action, always showing up, always helping, and always giving more than he took. He had a warm sense of humor and a way of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable the moment they walked through the door. There was always a pot of coffee ready for friends stopping by, and no one ever left his home hungry. Oscar loved fishing with others, not just for the catch but for the laughter, stories, and time spent together.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His life reminds us to cherish our family and friends, to show up for one another, and to always hug each other a little tighter.
The family will be holding a celebration of life in the spring. Details will be announced at a later date.
