LANSING — The Michigan Wheat Program is launching a new series of free winter webinars focused on wheat marketing for the 2026 growing season.
The “Wheat Wisdom” webinar series will run every other Wednesday in January and February and is aimed at helping growers navigate tight markets and improve their bottom line.
The online sessions will cover marketing tools, production decision-making, and the role of wheat in crop rotation. Speakers include Michigan State University wheat specialists, Extension educators, and market analyst Angie Setzer of Consus Consulting.
Topics include a new wheat production calculator to evaluate input costs and returns, an update on current and future wheat markets, and research on the economic benefits of wheat in crop rotation systems.
Each session runs one hour, with time for audience questions. There are no continuing education credits offered.
The webinars are free, but advance registration is required through the Michigan Wheat Program website at miwheat.org.
The series also serves as a lead-in to the Michigan Wheat Program’s Winter Annual Meeting on February 17 in Frankenmuth.
