
Ellen Faye Spikberg, age 66, of Tecumseh, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Chelsea Hospital. She was born on February 6, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, to Herbert and Chalice (Garand) Rianharet.
After graduating from Schafer High School in Allen Park, Michigan, Ellen began attending Michigan State University. She then dedicated many years as an office manager at a few establishments including Signature Home Traditions, Old Town Plumbing, and ReCommunity Recycling.
On September 14, 1991, Ellen married Mark Spikberg in Allen Park. They cherished over 34 years together.
A faithful member of the Tecumseh Church of the Nazarene, Ellen’s spiritual devotion was an integral part of her life. Her leisure time was filled with the joys of reading, quilting, sewing, crocheting, and photography. Ellen also found great satisfaction in volunteering her time in food service.
Ellen’s memory will be cherished by her husband, Mark Spikberg; her son, Garand “Gary” Spikberg; and her brother, Paul Rianharet. Ellen was preceded in death by her mother, Chalice Weir; her father, Herbert Rianharet; her step-father, Robert Weir; and her brother, Steven Rianharet.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services for Ellen will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Tecumseh Church of the Nazarene. A private burial will take place in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.
