BLISSFIELD — The Village of Blissfield has announced changes to its Parks and Recreation programming.

Village officials say an indoor adult volleyball program will not be offered at this time.

The Village Council is also continuing its evaluation of Parks and Recreation staffing, including the future of the Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator position.

That discussion is scheduled for the regularly scheduled Village Council meeting on January 12.

Options under consideration include continuing the coordinator position on a part-time basis or eliminating the position entirely.

If the position is eliminated, the village would no longer administer Parks and Recreation programs. Officials say the village would still support and provide guidance to residents interested in volunteering to lead or organize programs.

Village officials say updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
