Terry A. Upcott, age 81, of Morenci, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 at the Hospice House in Adrian. He was born in Pontiac on March 16, 1944, to the late Ernest and Dorthy (Ravell) Upcott.
Terry graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1964. On July 22, 1967, he married Sandra Kay Hardenburgh in Waterford, and she preceded him in death on June 26, 2024.
Terry worked for General Motors for over 30 years during which time he also earned his bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Bob Jones University.
Terry was a devoted family man and deeply loved “his Sandy”. He was an active member of church throughout his life, serving as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, and a deacon. Terry enjoyed old car shows, trains, and Detroit sports, especially the Red Wings, Tigers, and Lions, but what he was most known and loved for was his witty sense of humor. If you were around Terry, you were sure to leave smiling.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Terry (Jennifer) Upcott and Tracy (Floyd) Schell; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren plus one on the way; and his brothers, Jim (Janice) Upcott and Ernest “Skip” Upcott. Along with his parents and his beloved wife, Sandy, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Tommy Upcott.
The family will receive visitors at the Marry funeral Home in Morenci on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, at which time funeral services will take place. His son, Pastor Terry Upcott will officiate. Cremation will follow, and Terry and his wife, Sandy, will be inurned together in Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.
