TECUMSEH — Tecumseh City Council advanced several key items at its latest meeting, including progress on the downtown streetscape redesign and major infrastructure upgrades.
Tecumseh City Manager Brett Coker reported that the second community workshop on the downtown streetscape has been completed, and a new online survey is now open through January. The project focuses on Chicago Boulevard, Evans Street, Ottawa, Pearl, downtown parking areas and the Market on Evans, with a final design expected in early spring.
Coker emphasized that public input will directly influence the outcome.

Council also approved wastewater treatment plant upgrades aimed at improving efficiency and reducing long-term costs, opted out of the state health insurance cap for 2026, and made several board and commission appointments.
The downtown streetscape survey is available on the City of Tecumseh website, with final plans expected by March or April. A link to the survey is available here.
