
With deep sorrow, we share the passing of beloved daughter, sister, and mother, Delinda Lee Jones (Fox), age 66, on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Born on December 29, 1958, and raised in Michigan, Delina attended the Lincoln Consolidated School district in Ypsilanti, Michigan and at the age of 14 moved with her family to Addison, Michigan where she attended and graduated from Addison High School. After high school, Delinda joined the ranks of the military, as a Navy seaman, being first woman in the Fox family to serve her country. Delinda made the newspaper working in the first-ever ice cream shop on board a ship, but the most beloved position was cutting hair in the ship’s barber shop.
After Delinda’s service, she returned to Michigan and continued her career as a hair stylist by attending Cosmetology School in Adrian, Michigan. After finding her forever home in Hudson, Michigan, Delinda continued to use her skills cutting hair, maintaining her cosmetology license to this day.
Delinda held many talents, but by far the most inspiring was her ability to write poetry and music. She shared this gift with friends, family and was often called upon to sing or recite her original work in front of her congregation at First Baptist Church.
Delinda also loved to crochet, cook, bake, and make magnets and with a heart of gold, she always shared these gifts with her many friends and family.
Delinda is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Richard) Dodge of Fort Collins, Colorado; three grandchildren: Riley, Sadie, and Calvin; son, Paul Jones of Fort Collins, Colorado; mother, Shirley A. Fox of St. Helen, Michigan; brother, George (Mary) Fox, Jr. of Maybee, Michigan; brother, Greg (Debbra) Fox of Clayton, Michigan; sister, Suzanne (Jeff) Kaiser; and sister, Teresa (Charles Anderson) Aronson of Penn Valley, California. Delinda is preceded in death by her father, George E. Fox, Sr., and brother, Gerry Fox.
Delinda’s legacy will forever remain in our hearts. A service to celebrate her life will be held at First Baptist Church, Hudson, Michigan, on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:00 am.
