ADRIAN — The Lenawee Imagination Library is marking 15 years of delivering free books to young children across Lenawee County.
The program, coordinated locally by the Lenawee Community Foundation, is part of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a global literacy initiative that sends age-appropriate books to children from birth until age 5.
Paula Trentmen, vice president and director of grants and programs at the Lenawee Community Foundation, said the program delivers about 1,000 books each month in Lenawee County alone.

The program is free to families, but relies on donations to cover costs. Any child living in Lenawee County is eligible to enroll.
