
John Vanpelt, age 61, of Monroe, Michigan, passed away surrounded by love. Born on March 22, 1964, John lived a life defined by kindness, devotion to family, and a deep passion for his work and outdoor activities. John was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Jeannette, whose love and partnership meant everything to him. He was a supportive and loving father and a wonderful “Papa,” to his many grandchildren. His gentle spirit, patience, and unconditional love left a lasting impression on all who knew him. John took great pride in his career as a chef, a profession he truly loved. Cooking was more than his work—it was an expression of who he was. He poured his heart into every meal, finding happiness in creating dishes that brought people together. John spent part of his life living in Nevada, where he built lasting memories and continued to grow both personally and professionally. He later made his home in Monroe, Michigan, where he remained dedicated to his craft, his family, and his community. Those who knew John will remember him as hardworking, generous, and kind-hearted. He was someone who took pride in doing things well and caring deeply for those around him. His work ethic, warmth, and humility made him truly special. John’s legacy lives on through his wife Jeannette, his children, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends.
