ADRIAN — The Adrian City Commission will continue to discuss the use of the Crimson Holdings settlement funds, as well as the future of Bohn Pool, at their regular meeting tonight.
Last week, Commissioners held a special town hall meeting where they talked with citizens on how best to use the money the city received when a court ordered Crimson Holdings to establish a $100,000 fund towards households affected by the lasting nuisance odor of their egg-processing facility.
According to City Administrator Chad Baugh, the Commission will publicly review and vote on any proposal that is deemed fit for review.
Regarding Bohn Pool, the Commission voted to defer funding of repairs to the facility in September, pending further review by the Parks and Recreation Department.
After a collaborative effort with Adrian Public Schools to gauge public interest in a new community pool, it was decided that the school district will no longer move forward with that option, instead focusing entirely on a bond proposal for a new recreation center next to Adrian High School.
Commissioners are also expected to make several appointments to eight different boards and committees, and will vote to approve an agreement for new website services, which were discussed at the last regular meeting.
A full meeting agenda is available to view at Adriancity.com.
The meeting will take place at 6PM in the Adrian City Chambers at 159 East Maumee Street in Downtown Adrian.
