ADRIAN — Hope In Action in Adrian is providing an update on recent community donations and local giving efforts.
The grassroots group says residents have stepped up with handmade blankets, crocheted hats, and stuffed animals for families who are unable to access traditional holiday assistance programs. The items are being distributed directly to local households that reached out privately for help.
Hope In Action also reports receiving about $200 in recent cash donations. The funds have been used to purchase baby formula, diapers, baby food and full meals for families facing food insecurity.
The group says volunteers continue to restock four neighborhood blessing boxes daily and have noticed more residents leaving food on their own. Several businesses and community members have also established new drop-off locations to support the effort.
Hope In Action says the goal is to continue meeting basic needs throughout the winter and encourage neighbors to help where they can.
