ADRIAN — Grass Lake Community Schools has entered into a new partnership with Adrian College, expanding college access, scholarships, and professional development opportunities for students and educators.

The agreement was signed December 4 after Adrian College President Jeffrey Docking invited Grass Lake Community Schools Superintendent Nick Angel to campus to formalize the collaboration.

The partnership includes early and dual enrollment opportunities, designated scholarships for graduates who attend Adrian College, and professional development resources for teachers and staff. Qualified Grass Lake High School students will receive special admission consideration, with automatic admission available for those who meet GPA, coursework, and application requirements.

Adrian College will offer a total of 10 merit-based scholarships for Grass Lake graduates, along with institutional financial aid for eligible students who do not qualify for those awards.

College officials say the agreement is designed to strengthen the connection between secondary and higher education and increase student participation in dual-enrollment programs statewide.

Additional campus visits and professional development events will also be offered as part of the partnership.
