ADRIAN — Adrian College Vice President and Dean of Academics Andrea Milner recently delivered a national presentation on artificial intelligence in higher education to more than 1,000 faculty members representing over 100 institutions.
The presentation was part of the Council of Independent Colleges’ AI Ready Network and focused on integrating AI into curriculum and classroom instruction.
Milner outlined Adrian College’s approach to preparing students for an AI-driven workforce, including offering AI-focused electives, minors and graduate programs available across all majors through the RIZE consortium.
College leaders emphasized faculty involvement, academic integrity and practical instruction as central to the strategy.
Adrian College now encourages every student to take at least one course involving artificial intelligence and is pursuing approval to add new AI majors through the Higher Learning Commission.
