ADRIAN — Students from four Lenawee County schools wrapped up the 2025 debate season with a final tournament this week.
The event included students from Adrian, Blissfield, Hudson and Madison and highlighted months of preparation and competition.
In the Novice Division, Blissfield’s team of Beckett Klump and Carley Watson earned first place following a final round against Hudson’s Yamilex Sereno and Cooper Pawson.
In the Varsity Division, Hudson’s Kayli Butler and Annabelle Czeiszperger took top honors after defeating Blissfield’s Grahm Jeffrey and Hope Miller.
Several students also received Top Speaker honors in both divisions for strong performances throughout the tournament.
The program is coordinated countywide by Justin Pooley of Blissfield Community Schools. Competitions are hosted by Adrian First Church of the Nazarene.
