Jerry Willard Emery, age 83, of Adrian, Michigan passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Hospice of Lenawee Home, surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born in Adrian, MI, the youngest and only son of Willard and Lona (Fauver) Emery’s four children. He graduated from Adrian High School.
In July of 1963 Jerry married Joan L. Deis at Tipton Congregational Church. Jerry and Joan were fortunate to celebrate 50 years together before her passing in 2014.
Jerry worked at General Motors, retiring after 30 years. During this time, he was also running a greenhouse with his wife, Joan, where he was second in command. For over 50 years, they provided wonderful plants and flowers to the residents of Lenawee County. The greenhouse was a true family business with their four children helping daily. Each fall, you could count on Jerry having beautiful mums and plenty of pumpkins to help decorate your front yard.
He will be missed by his children, Sandy Zeigler, Steven (Christina) Emery, Linda (Allen) Wielfaert and Michael (Patty) Emery; grandchildren, Amy, R.J. and Thomas; Anthony; Grace, Evan and Karl; Derek, Michael and Sierra; and great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Theodore, Lillion, Elizabeth, Jackson, Michael and Avery. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife; grandson, Andrew Emery and his three sisters.
Visitation for Jerry will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian; with funeral services starting at 5 p.m. with Pastor Eric Hickman officiating. Cremation will follow
