Marjorie Mae Allen, age 84, of Tecumseh, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, surrounded by her family at Tecumseh Place Assisted Living.
She was born December 27, 1940, in Riga, Michigan to Clarence and Kathleen (Gilhouse) McCarty. On February 10, 1962, she married Duane P. Allen in Adrian. Marjorie attended the Tecumseh Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, basket weaving, quilting and her exercise classes. Marjorie also loved to spend time with her family, friends and having her dog “Susie” by her side.
In addition to her husband, Duane, she is survived by a daughter, Pamela Brunner; a son, Timothy (Kelly) Allen; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Cynthia (Robin) Hatch; and a brother, Vernon (Farie) McCarty. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Herbert McCarty and Duane McCarty.
Burial will be in Lenawee County Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh. Friends can express sympathies to the family online by visiting the tribute wall at www.marryfh.com. In lieu of flowers, Marjorie asked that teddy bears be donated to Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
