ADRIAN — Hope In Action is asking the community for support as donations for local blessing boxes run low.
Volunteers have been restocking five boxes across Adrian each day, and organizers say the need has increased significantly.
The Holiday Food Drive accepts canned meats, deluxe macaroni and cheese, meal kits, peanut butter and jelly, baby and toddler food, kids’ snacks, condiments, shelf-stable milk, pancake mix and syrup, and other non-glass, cold-safe items. Less-needed items include dried beans, large bags of rice, and canned black beans.
Donations can be dropped off at the Align Center or the Adrian District Library. Monetary support is also accepted through CashApp at $hopeinaction19, Venmo at @hopeinaction19, and PayPal at @ally19b.
Hope In Action offers porch pick-ups for anyone unable to travel.
