JACKSON CO. — The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is preparing for Community Impact Day, a statewide volunteer event happening May 13, 2026.
The initiative will mobilize volunteers across Michigan to support local service projects.
As part of the effort, the Jackson Chamber has opened its nonprofit application for organizations seeking volunteers. Chamber President and CEO Ryan Tarrant said the goal is to help businesses step out of the office and make a measurable difference in the community.
Any Jackson County nonprofit may apply, though Chamber member nonprofits will be prioritized. Eligible projects include community development, youth services, education, health and wellness, advocacy, and more.
Organizations must complete an online form outlining project details, volunteer needs, and on-site requirements. Submitting a project does not guarantee volunteer placement.
Applications will be accepted until all available spaces are filled. More information is available at JacksonChamber.org.
