Cheryl was born on December 19, 1960, in Wayne, MI, one of four children to Robert and Ethel (Wilson) Ellerholz. She graduated from Sand Creek High School with the Class of 1979.
On September 29, 1979, Cheryl married Arden L. Frey, Jr. During their 46 years together, they were blessed with three children and later on proudly wore the titles of grandma and grandpa.
In addition to her husband, Arden, Cheryl will be missed by their children, Robert (Jazzmon) Frey, Clarinda (Ryan) Pawlawski and Ashley Frey; grandchildren, Destiny, Natalie, Dominick, Austin, Parker, Julien and Dakota; great granddaughter, Ellie; and siblings, Tom (Denise) Flowers and Doris (Jim) Mattis; sister-in-law, Tricia Ellerholz, several nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Ellerholz.
Visitation for Cheryl will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
