MORENCI — Residents and businesses in the Morenci area are invited to take part in the 5th Annual Holiday Lights Tour, hosted by the Revitalize Morenci Initiative.
Registration is open now through Monday, December 15. The fee is $10, and all proceeds will support the Kiwanis of Morenci Wishing Tree Project, which provides food, household items, and Christmas gifts to families and children in need.
The self-guided tour will run December 18 through December 28. Free tour maps and a holiday scavenger hunt will be available beginning December 18 online, at City Hall and at downtown businesses.
Prizes will be awarded in four categories: Best and Brightest Business, Traditional Favorite, Clark Griswold, and People’s Choice.
Since the event began, the initiative has donated $1,280 to the Wishing Tree Project. Organizers say all displays are welcome, and community participation is encouraged.
