Charlotte was born on February 13, 1959, in Saginaw, Michigan, the youngest child of James and Myrna (Doud) Naismyth.
On March 20, 1982, Charlotte married William H. Hardy in Au Gres, Michigan. Over the next 43 years, Charlotte and William raised four children and welcomed six grandchildren. Family was always the priority in Charlotte’s life, and she demonstrated this daily providing excellent care to her daughter, Rose and later on her father, James. Charlotte had an artistic side which was evident in her sewing and crafting. She enjoyed traveling and going camping with the family where fond memories were always being created; and you could count on her to be in the bleachers cheering on her grandchildren at sporting events and horse shows. Charlotte will be remembered for the dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, who made everyone feel special.
In addition to her husband, William, Charlotte is survived by their children, Thomas (Ruthie) Hardy of Manitou Beach, Rebecca Peck of Onsted and Kevin Hardy (Katelyn Reed) of Hudson; grandchildren, Maddison, Tristen, Trevor, River, Amy and Keegan; many nieces and nephews; and her four-legged family members, Gracie, Molly and Chevy. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rose Hardy; and siblings, Nancy Keith, Lana (John) Rottman and Daniel Muttschler.
Following Charotte’s wishes, cremation will take place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Her final resting place will be Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw.
