IDA — The Village of Ida will light up the night with Christmas lights, fireworks, and smiles on Saturday, December 6th.

Known as the Midwest’s Granddaddy of light parades, the Christmas in Ida Parade of Lights, presented by DTE Energy, is the finale of the weekend-long festival.

The parade of lights celebrates the agricultural community with lighted displays of farm implements, fire trucks, floats, parade balloons, cartoon characters, marching bands, and dancers in the streets.

Prior to the parade, the Family Fireworks Show presented by Consumers Energy will light up the skies.

Over 120 parade units have entered the festive march, which will be illuminated with thousands of Holiday lights and animations.

The recorded production of the Parade of Lights will begin airing on Saturday, December 14th, at 7 p.m. and will continue throughout the holiday season on D & P Communications, MPACT Charter Communications, Comcast, and Buckeye.

The program will also be available worldwide on YouTube on the MPACT Studio channel.
