ADRIAN — Over 500 meals were delivered to community residents in need this Thanksgiving holiday, thanks to a partnership between Alpha Koney Island, Adrian Public Schools, and the Kiwanis Club of Adrian.
According to Kiwanis Club Treasurer Joe Williams, at least 200 individuals picked up meals at Adrian High School, while the Kiwanis made 300 deliveries to seniors in need through their Meals on Wheels program.
Meals were also dropped off at Hampton Manor, Friendship Place Apartments, and Riverview Terrace Apartments.
Williams also said that 35 volunteers helped with the event, which celebrated its 26th anniversary this year.
