MONROE — The Monroe County Museum is inviting the community to a series of free holiday events, spanning through mid-December.

On December 3, 10, and 17, the museum will present dramatic readings of A Christmas Carol at Nocturnal Monroe at 2 West Front Street. Each Wednesday evening features one of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, or Future, with repeat performances and limited seating available on a first-come basis.

Saturday, December 6, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., families can visit the County Museum for Cocoa With the Conductor, featuring hot chocolate and live readings of classic Christmas stories.

Throughout December, the Monroe County Museum will also host Toys for Tots donations, letters to Santa, historic craft workshops, and chestnut roasting at the Monroe County Fairgrounds.
