Luetta Ellis, of Arcadia, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life defined by strength, service, and love. After graduating high school, Luetta joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed on Treasure Island in California, where she met her husband, Don Ellis. She received an honorable discharge and later built a dedicated career in the Detroit area as Supervisor of Admitting at Wayne County General Hospital.
Luetta is survived by her children, Michael Ellis and Patricia Elezi, and her grandchildren Ashley Ellis, Erica Farrell, and Nicholas Ellis. A devoted Detroit Tigers fan, she loved bowling with friends and enjoyed her years living on Round Lake in Manitou Beach.
In her final act of generosity, Luetta donated her body to the Wayne State University School of Medicine for research. A service will be held once her family is reunited with her remains.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
