Feliz Sanchez, 88, of Tecumseh, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025. Born on November 20, 1936, in Laredo, Texas, she was the daughter of Juan R. Garza Sr. and Maria Garza.
On December 20, 1953, in Laredo, Texas, she married the love of her life, Jose Isadoro Sanchez. Their marriage spanned more than 50 years, a partnership marked by deep devotion and an unwavering commitment to one another.
Feliz later made Tecumseh her home, where she devoted many years of service to Herrick Memorial Hospital, retiring after a long and career. She was also a faithful and longstanding member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh. Her kindness, and steady devotion to her faith enriched the lives of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Isadoro Sanchez, her son, Jose Isadoro Sanchez Jr., and her brother, Juan Ramon Garza Jr.
Feliz is survived by three of her four children: Gloria, Sylvia, and Jaime. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her tremendous pride, joy, and love.
Feliz will be remembered for her strength, and love she carried for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, she will be remembered for her example of devotion and faith.
To honor the wishes of both Jose and Feliz, a Mass and Celebration of Life for Jose and Feliz Sanchez will take place on December 5th at 12:00 PM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 506 N. Union St, Tecumseh, MI 49286.
A graveside service will follow at Brookside Cemetery, with the family receiving guests after the service.
