ADRIAN — The Adrian Diversity Event Fund hosted Holocaust survivor and author Irene Butter this week, sharing her personal account documented in From Holocaust to Hope: Shores Beyond Shores.
Butter said it took decades before she spoke publicly about her experiences, beginning when her daughter asked her to participate in a middle school presentation on antisemitism.
When asked about rising extremism today, Butter expressed concern over repeated patterns in history.
