ADRIAN — The Lenawee Historical Museum says renovation work on the building is continuing as crews finish updates to exhibit spaces on the upper floor.

The second-floor schoolroom has now been fully replastered and painted. Staff will allow the paint to cure for a week before moving artifacts back into the room and restoring it as an exhibit.

The project is part of a larger renovation plan that divided the building into 22 distinct areas. Contractors have completed updates in two bathrooms, the doctor and dental office, the Post Office room, the back stairway, and both kitchen exhibit rooms.

The museum says work will continue through the winter as funding allows, and visitors are invited to stop in and view the completed spaces.
