MANITOU BEACH — The Manitou Beach Historic Renovation Society has completed its tree planting grant project along South Manor Drive.

According to the organization’s grant documentation, volunteers planted nine Blaze Autumn Maples, four Scarlet Oaks, and one Gino tree as part of the 2025 improvement effort. The tree planting grant focused on adding long-term shade, improving neighborhood aesthetics, and supporting ongoing revitalization work in the Manitou Beach area.

Photos submitted by the society show all fourteen trees successfully planted and staked along the roadway.

The group says the project supports broader community restoration goals and will continue as funding allows.
