Steven Paul Gerig, age 73, of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Vine Grove, Kentucky. He was born on October 27, 1952, in Hudson to Richard and Shirley (Galbreath) Gerig.
On June 23, 1998, Steven married Nancy Brogan in Wauseon, Ohio. They shared over 15 years of marriage until her passing on December 31, 2013.
Steven dedicated over 30 years of his career to M&S Manufacturing. Afterward, he continued his career at W2 Fuel in Adrian before retiring. His dedication to service extended well beyond the workplace – he served as a firefighter in Hudson for over three decades and also worked at Michigan International Speedway.
To cherish his memory, Steven leaves a son, Josh (Carolyn) Gerig; daughter, Tiffanie (Abdul Qumane) Tantillo; three brothers, Dennis (Vicki) Gerig, Brian Gerig, and Kim (Melanie) Gerig; two sisters, Debbie Cooley and Julie (Ron) Keene; and three grandchildren, Adrianna Tantillo, Cameron Tantillo, and Aiden Cooper-Whitehead. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at the Marry Funeral Home in Hudson on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Matt Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Hudson.
