ADRIAN — As the season of giving begins, Lenawee County residents facing food insecurity can find help close to home.

The South Michigan Food Bank has released a countywide resource guide listing food pantries, community meal programs, and fresh food distributions throughout the area.

The guide includes locations such as the Daily Bread Pantry on South Tecumseh Street in Adrian, open Tuesday through Friday, and the Salvation Army Pantry on West Church Street, open Mondays and Thursdays.

Other sites include Fishes & Loaves on West Maple Street, Tecumseh United Methodist Church, and St. Joseph Conference S V D P on Ormsby Street in Adrian.

Fresh food distributions are also available monthly at sites including Morenci Bible Fellowship Church, Tecumseh Church of the Nazarene, and St. Peter Apostle Church in Blissfield. Hot meal programs operate at Daily Bread of Lenawee and The Salvation Army, serving lunch and dinner on select days.

The full Lenawee County Resource Guide is available through the South Michigan Food Bank website, smfoodbank.org, and here. Residents can use the guide to locate nearby assistance or find volunteer opportunities to give back.

Every meal donated or shared helps strengthen the community and ensure no table goes empty this season.
