TECUMSEH — Tecumseh’s holiday celebration continues today as downtown businesses welcome shoppers for the second day of the annual Holiday Open House.

Last night’s tree lighting ceremony and window-decorating launch downtown kicked off the season.

Today’s activities include extended shopping hours, holiday displays, and live entertainment throughout the business district.

The first Holiday Night Market also runs today from 4 until 8 p.m. under the Evans Street pavilion, with local vendors, music, and seasonal offerings.

Looking ahead, the Tecumseh Christmas Parade will take place Thursday, December 5 at 7 p.m., featuring the debut of a new sleigh float designed by the city’s Department of Public Works.

The Ice Sculpture Festival returns January 16 and 17, and late-night holiday shopping is scheduled for December 19.
