LENAWEE CO. — The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office has launched its annual Shop with a Cop campaign to help local children in need during the holiday season.
Sheriff Troy Bevier announced that the department hopes to assist 65 children this year by providing winter coats, hats, and clothing, as well as a small gift from Santa.
Last year’s program was a major success thanks to community donations, which allowed dozens of children to shop alongside local law enforcement officers for essential winter items.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking residents and businesses to consider donating to the program. Each $200 contribution covers the cost of one child’s participation, including clothing and gifts.
Donations can be dropped off or mailed to the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, Attention Sgt. Chris Hudson, at 405 North Winter Street, Adrian, Michigan, 49221.
The department expressed appreciation for community support and encouraged early donations to help meet this year’s goal.
