LENAWEE CO. — Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is recalling select Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Dark Chocolate Mini Bars due to undeclared wheat.
The recall affects six-count boxes with batch code LLA519501 and a “Best By” date of January 31, 2027.
The FDA says the product may pose a serious risk for people with wheat allergies or sensitivities. No illnesses have been reported. The recalled items were shipped to Kroger stores in 28 states, including Michigan, and to Giant Eagle locations in several midwestern and eastern states.
Consumers are urged not to eat the product and instead dispose of it or return it to the store for a full refund. Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream says the mix-up likely occurred when wheat-containing items were packed in incorrect packaging early in production.
