ADRIAN — The Citizens Gas Fuel Company franchise agreement will be renewed.
The proposal asked whether to allow Citizens Gas to continue providing natural gas service within the city for a 30-year period.
Unofficial results show the measure passed by a wide margin, with 2,609 votes to approve and 535 votes to reject.
With voter approval, the agreement renews Citizens Gas’ authority to operate in Adrian and continue supplying service to local residents and businesses through 2055.
All results are unofficial until certified by the Lenawee County Board of Canvassers.
