Sally Marie Butler, 89, of Adrian, passed into the loving arms of her Lord on Oct. 30, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Living, deeply loved and cared for by family. Sally was born in Stockbridge, Michigan, to Edwin and Eva (Hart) Bauer on March 8, 1936. She attended Chelsea High School and graduated in 1954. She married Harold Butler on July 26, 1958. Sally cared for her husband and four children at their home near Manitou Beach, enjoying family gatherings, travel, antiques and collectibles, and staying in close touch with those she loved. She attended Faith Baptist Church in Adrian for more than 20 years. Sally is survived by her four children: Marie Dawn (Bill) Johnston, of Juliet, Ga.; Darlene (John) Borton of Somerset, Mi.; Martin Butler of Gilbert, Ariz.; and Karla (Eric) Ahrens of Sherwood, Or.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Of her family of 16 siblings, two survive — John Bauer of Florida, and Shirley Jensen of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, her parents, and 14 siblings.
