
Esther Marie Seeburger, age 89, of Clinton, MI, passed away on Friday October 31, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 5, 1936 in Marquette, MI a daughter of the late Toivo Albert and Hulda Maria (Hill) Lehtomaki. She worked years ago as a phone operator and then went to work for Braun and Brumfield Print Shop as a clerk. Esther was a member of Clinton United Methodist Church and was the president of the Clinton Women’s Club for a few years. Esther loved bowling and was a part of a league and a mix couples league over the years. She loved family gatherings and spending time with her family. Her favorite TV show was “David In The Kitchen” on the QVC Channel.
She is survived by her children, John Simon III, Tina (Greg) McLellan and Steven Simon all of Clinton, MI; step-sons, Dennis and Daniel Seeburger both of Tecumseh, MI; sisters, Carol Atkins of Pinckney, MI, Shirley (Fonso) Trout of Ypsilanti, MI, Linda (Roger) Waltz of Clinton, MI and Sue Misure of Ypsilanti, MI; seven grandchildren, Shannon, Harry, Ann, Johnny, Wayne, Ashley and Mitchell; 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her two husbands, John Simon II and Bernard Seeburger and a grandson, Denny Bullock.
Visitation for Esther will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 10am-12pm at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. A funeral service will take place at 12pm with Rev. Michelle McCalla officiating. Interment will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton United Methodist Church.
