
MONROE — A serious crash closed part of I-75 in southeast Michigan Thursday evening.
State police say a limo bus overturned on the southbound side of the highway near Exit 20 to I-275 around 6:15 p.m. The crash happened in Monroe County, roughly 20 miles north of the Ohio border.
According to MLive, multiple people were hurt and taken to Toledo Hospital and Monroe Hospital. Their conditions have not been released.
Emergency crews shut down the southbound lanes while traffic was rerouted off at Exit 20. Drivers were urged to avoid the area until the scene was cleared.
The Michigan Department of Transportation confirmed the closure shortly after the crash.
Investigators have not said what caused the bus to roll over, and no timeline for reopening was provided.
