
LENAWEE CO. — Hormel Foods is recalling about 4.87 million pounds of ready-to-eat frozen chicken because it may contain pieces of metal.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the recall on October 25, 2025.
The products were shipped to hotels, restaurants, and institutions nationwide between February 10 and September 19, 2025. Items include FIRE BRAISED boneless chicken thigh and breast, and boneless chicken breast with rib meat. Look for establishment number P-223 in the USDA mark of inspection.
No injuries have been confirmed. The company traced the problem to a conveyor belt.
Businesses should not serve these products. Throw them away.
