Harry Thomas Brooks, age 91, of Adrian, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Lynwood Manor.
He was born on May 10, 1934, in Adrian to James and Marjoria (Doriell) Brooks. Harry graduated from Adrian High School in 1954 before enlisting in the United States Army. He proudly served his country from 1957 to 1959.
After returning home, Harry married the love of his life, Ellen DeVee. They shared many cherished years together until her passing in 1998.
Harry worked for Tecumseh Products as a maintenance technician for welders and retired in 2001. In addition to his professional career, he was a lifelong farmer who raised elk and cattle. His deep connection to the land and love for the outdoors defined much of his life—he found great joy in hunting and fishing.
A devoted uncle and supporter of youth athletics, Harry rarely missed a sporting event involving his nieces and nephews. His enthusiasm extended beyond family as he regularly attended high school games throughout the community.
To cherish his memory, Harry leaves a brother, Ivan Brooks; two sisters, Ruth Westgate and Anne Brooks; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and five brothers and sisters.
Cremation has taken place. Burial of cremains will be in Lenawee County Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.
