ADDISON — The Lenawee County Land Bank Authority is moving forward with plans to demolish a blighted structure at 140 West Main Street in the Village of Addison using a state grant of $62,000.
During public comment, a nearby property owner urged the board not to cancel the project and offered full access to surrounding parcels so demolition crews can work within the grant budget.
After returning to open session, the board voted to negotiate a written access agreement with the nearby property owner for demolition staging.
The board noted the grant expires in September 2026 and said demolition will be scheduled as soon as feasible.
No timeline was set at the meeting.
