JACKSON — Early childhood teachers from across Michigan will gather Saturday, November 15, at Western High School in Parma for a one-day training event focused on early learning.

The conference runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration opens at 7:00 with a continental breakfast. Lunch is included.

The cost is $50 and participants can earn six MiRegistry credits.

National author and child development expert Jim Gill will deliver the keynote presentation. Breakout sessions will cover topics such as building relationships with children and families, mentoring new teachers, and using music and play to support literacy.

The event is hosted by the Jackson County ISD and the Great Start Readiness Program.
