LENAWEE CO. — E.A. Sween Company is recalling about 127,000 pounds of Deli Express BBQ pulled pork sandwiches because they may contain pieces of plastic, the USDA says.
The 5.5-ounce, paper-wrapped sandwiches on a sesame bun were made between January 13 and October 15, 2025. Look for “EST. 2451” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The products were shipped to stores nationwide, including to the Department of Defense. The company says the plastic came from gallon barbecue sauce bottles used in production. No injuries have been confirmed.
FSIS is concerned some items may still be in home refrigerators or freezers. Do not eat these sandwiches. Throw them away or take them back to the store for a refund.
For questions, call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854 or check the FSIS recalls page for store lists and updates.
