Kathleen F. Kirkpatrick, age 79, of Perrysburg and formerly Manitou Beach, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at her residence under the loving care of Elara Caring Hospice, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Adrian on November 17, 1945, the daughter of the late Lloyd Mac and Betty Elaine (June) Morse. Kathleen attended and graduated from Onsted High School and then earned her Associate of Applied Science degree, graduating from Jackson Community College as a Registered Nurse. On June 1, 1965, she married the late Charles Kirkpatrick in Adrian, and he preceded her in death on August 8, 1996. She worked at Lenawee Medical Care Facility for approximately five years, and following the passing of her husband, left nursing and worked for TA Travel Centers until her retirement in 2012.

Kathleen loved her family immensely. They describe her as a very stubborn woman who cared for everyone and would do anything for anyone who needed it. She was a hard worker in every way. Kathleen enjoyed attending to her yard and gardens, meeting new people, shopping, and working jigsaw puzzles. She especially enjoyed any holiday – decorating for each and every one of them and cooking a large meal for her family or anyone who showed up.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Michelle (Dennis) Vanderlaan, Wendy Kirkpatrick, Tammie Kirkpatrick-Smith, Traci Kirkpatrick, and Jamie Kirkpatrick; 11 grandchildren, Eric, Kevin (Susan), Nicole (Zack), Jonathon, Jordan, Logan, , Tia (Rob), Julian, Icey, Camden, and Cody; five great-grandchildren, Emalynn, Maverick, Serenity, Oaklynn, and Ember; brothers, Kevin (Pam) and Robin Morse; and a sister, Linda Foreman. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Timothy, Terry, Richard, and Ronnie Morse; and sisters, Darlene Clough, Marilyn Anderson, and Ruth Diane Morse.

Cremation will take place and gravesides services in Palmyra Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
